Junior Softball: grades 3-5)

Players are assigned to a team.

Mostly two games per week: scheduled Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays. Additionally there will be one practice weekly, usually on Sundays and at the same time throughout the season.

USA Softball Rules are modified at this level. Games are player pitched unless a walk occurs. After four balls the strike count continues, a coach comes in to pitch, and the at-bat is completed with a batted ball or a strikeout. There are limited steals allowed per inning and stealing home is not permitted. These and the additional rule changes all are intended to improve the speed of play and create games that are fair and balanced.
