Summer Baseball ages 9-12

  • Information to know for Travel Teams:
  • Teams are selected by tryouts, and will include performance during the season.
  • Cuts are made should the numbers dictate.
  • However, every effort is made to avoid cutting players who are interested in summer baseball, the 2 leagues helps to find options for most players most years
  • NLL’s entries will be determined by player interest.
  • Tryout Dates:  Usually first week in June
  • Coaches are selected and approved by the Board of Directors and those coaches make the roster selections, there will be an independent evaluator to aide in the selection.
  • Home games are played at Hunnewell Fields and start at 5:45 for weeknights (weekend times vary)
  • Uniforms are selected by coaches (with player input) and are personalized with name and desired number (part of registration fee)
  • Tryouts are a must.  We ask that any players that may be gone for more than 2 weeks (for camp or extended vacation) consider playing the Nice and Easy program (see below).
  • Bay State teams will be selected first, and must be filled in order to have SYBL teams.
  • For Bay State no players are allowed to play up a division, with the exception of the 10U team which is a 9/10 team mix. The coach of this team can take as many (or zero) 9 year olds depending on their tryout.
  • If there is not enough players at the SYBL level to fill out a specific team - players can play up. Tryout performance will be a factor in players who are selected to play up if necessary.

Summer Baseball Ages 13-16

LTA Baseball
13U, 15U and 17U levels of play - we will enter as many age groups as we have players eligible/willing to play. The league is played in a 16-18 game season/schedule, with the top 8 teams by record making the tournament of champions (playoffs). LTA is the most competitive summer baseball we offer for 13-16 year olds in Natick. Players must tryout, and are selected by the coaches of the teams

Minuteman Baseball

Ages 13-16 combined into one division. No weekend commitment, but there is still just as much travel (if not more than LTA) in the MM division. We will have as many teams as we have interest, and there are no required tryouts. Players who tryout for LTA and do not make it, will be placed automatically on a MM team, unless they rather not play.
